Both of my daughters go to The Young School since they were 3 months old. I have recommended The Young School to all of my friends, I just could not have asked for a better environment for my children to grow in. In the 5 years that we have been there we have built wonderful relationships with the teachers who have offered much needed support and advice to help us move through various developmental milestones (teething, napping issues, potty training, and picky eating to name a few). As I sit and listen to my daughter read to me, I know we have made the right choice. Thank you Young School for all that you have offered my family!
This school is amazing! The teachers have years of experience and genuinely care about the students. The classrooms are bright and cheerful and have many fun things like sliding boards and loft play areas. There are many opportunities throughout the day to play on the huge playground. The curriculum is outstanding with lots of sensory and art play, reading, and circle time. We have two children enrolled here and absolutely love it!
We have our 3 year old and 1 year old at The Young School and we love it. We have seen so much growth from our 3 year old and she is constantly suprising us with everything she learns. The teachers are wonderful and very nurturing. Our 1 year old has such a special bond with his teacher, it gives me comfort to know they are in such good hands. The management is great and always available for questions and concerns. We wanted our kids in the best daycare program and we found it at The Young School!
My children, ages almost 4 years old & 14 months have both attended the Young School in Perry Hall since they were 3 months old. We have had such a wonderful positive experience with all the teachers and administrators and the school feels like an extension of our home and family. It's a great feeling to be able to drop your children off in the morning and know they are in a nurturing safe environment with people who truly care about them.
We have sent our now-3 year old to The Young School for over 2 years. Having been in 3 previous child care arrangements, we can say the that the Young School is by far the best place for our child. It is expensive but in child care, it seems that you get what you pay for. Our child has thrived there. They pretty much potty trained him, taught him alll his colors well before I thought he was even capable of learning them and so much more. The teachers and administrators have been very receptive to any suggestions and are very loving. My child cries and runs away from me when I arrive at the end of the day. He says "No go home with Mommy. I want to stay at school!!" That's all the endorsement I need as I can leave him in the morning knowing that he is well-cared for and happy there.
The Pre-K program is preparing my oldest child to enter into kindergarten. We are very pleased with his letter and word recognition and math skills. He is encouraged to think independently and creatively. We love going into the room and seeing photos with short stories attached displaying the different projects they're working on. He is a naturally shy child but his teachers have helped to develop his confidence and at school he shines.
The infant care program has also been wonderful. There is a real partnership and open communication between the teachers and the parents. It is clear the children's safety and development are their top priorities. They provide gentle discipline while allowing the children to explore and grow.
We couldn't be happier with our experience at the Young School. It has been the perfect fit for this busy family.
