In short, the jewelry repair service here is dishonest and overpriced. Be super cautious about entrusting your jewelry with these people. They might pull the old switcheroo on you. Given my experience, I wouldn't even trust the quality of their jewelry. I will never go there again and would never recommend them to anyone.
